The staff, in particular, the lady who helped me with my taxi problem Monday morning. The early morning gentleman called a taxi, it never arrived, Time was getting crucial. He tried again and was put on hold. His shift ended, and this young lady took over. She tried another cab company, they said it wpuld arrive soon. Soon was going to be in 20 minutes. Time now to get to the airport was critical. The lady called Uber for me on her account, (I compensated her), she kept in contact with them until they arrived. I made my flight with 2 minutes to spare, that's right, 2 minutes. Thank God for her intervention and consideration. She deserves recognition , as does the rest of your staff!!!!

It was nice and clean. The people at the front desk were super helpful. Especially Anthony!! Shout out for giving me a quick run down of things. He was very inviting and I'm glad I got to meet him if only for checking in. The beds were just right not too hard not to worn down. Same with the pillows. The sheets looked clean and so did the room. The view to the little court yard thru the sliding glass door was a nice surprise! The flowers were def blooming. Thanks

The hotel has a Polynesian/Japanese restaurant on-site and there is a Middle Eastern and Thai restaurant within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was a small continental breakfast available, since I didn't read this from the website. Lastly, I was glad there was still some Japanese flare in the garden. I can imagine that the Miyako Hotel was once exceptionally nice in its heyday but I would still stay there again.

The Mikado is an excellent place for a very reasonably priced stay. The area is quite pleasant, and largely residential. The staff people I interacted with (primarily Anthony) were very personable and competent. I was so happy with the Mikado that I also stayed there on my return trip from Monterey, a few days after my initial stay.

Property was a good value. Staff was polite and accommodating. Pool was great and parking was plentiful and very cheap. We were only there to sleep so it worked totally fine for us with no concerns. Also, had microwave and fridge. Area around was clean and safe.
